Thank you to our North Vancouver neighbours for sharing your feedback about our proposed project. Below is a summary of our 2021 and 2022 public engagement activities.
2022 Supplemental Public Engagement
In Summer 2022(from from July 27 to September 14), Seaspan launched a Community Survey to request feedback on our proposed project mitigations. All of the feedback was compiled for consideration by the Seaspan project team and also provided to the port authority as part of their project review. Thank you, as well, to the community members and strata representatives who agreed to participate in Seaspan’s mitigation workshop, which included 14 individuals – eight from the community (recruited from those who signed up to receive updates about the proposed project) and four representatives from two strata councils closest to Vancouver Drydock. 2021 Public Engagement
In July and August 2021, under the guidance and direction of the port authority, Seaspan undertook public engagement activities to notify and seek feedback from the North Vancouver community on the proposed Vancouver Drydock Water Lot Project. We heard from 285 individuals and greatly appreciated the input that was offered. In addition to receiving a number of feedback forms and emails, Seaspan hosted two community information meetings on July 13 and July 15, 2021.
